GT 2012, BMW Team Italy to line up two cars

Team Roal Motorsport will put on track two Z4 and has already decided three of the four drivers that will challenge the Audi R8 LMS champion last year with Marco Bonanomi

01/02/2012 - Eventually the news has been made official. The tenth edition of the Italian GT Championship starting in Vallelunga next 6 May will see BMW taking on track two works Z4 of class GT3.

This is great news as the two cars lined up by the Munich brand will enrich further GT3 class where the presence is confirmed of two works Audi R8, the Ferraris 458 Italia, while several teams are deciding the details of their participation with Porsche GT3 R cars.

The experienced Roberto Ravaglia will manage the BMW programme in the GT tricolored championship and will be the reference point for the sportive management of the Z4 GT3s with his Roal Motorsport team.

Three of the four drivers that will be on track with BMW Team Italy colors have been already decided. Thomas Biagi, Stefano Colombo and Michela Cerruti are confirmed, while the fourth driver will be chosen in a few days time.
