07/07/2012 - One-two finish for Audi in the first race of the Italian GT Championship 3rd round that is being held this weekend in Misano Adriatico. The two R8 LMS got the highest steps of the podium with Di Benedetto-Frassineti, first under the checkered flag, and Sonvico-Capello.

The Audi cars left third placed Comandini-Fornaroli 38"121 adrift with the Ferrari 458 run by Vita4One Team Italy, while 4th and 5th spot were occupied respectively by the Antonelli Motorsport Porsche GT3 R of Monti-Passuti, with a 45"317 gap from the lead, and the Ebimotors GT3 R driven by Balzan-Barri, further 6 seconds behind.

Brothers Victor and Giovanni Coggiola (Porsche RSR-CVG S.A.) got a 9th overall that meant the win in the GT2 class, while Sanna-Stancheris clinched success in the 1st division of the GT Cup Class with the Imperiale Racing Lamborghini Gallardo. Bellini-Donativi won the 2nd Division ahead of Negra-Giondi, both the crews on Porsche 997s run by Antonelli Motorsport.

Tomorrow morning at 11.55, with "Dindo" Capello on pole, Race 2 will see the start (48 mins + 1 lap) and will be broadcasted live on Sportitalia 2 and in web streaming on www.acisportitalia.it.
