Nicola Larini and Alex Caffi will lead the Bentley Continental GT3 of Petri Corse Motorsport in the debut at the Italian GT Championship during the 4th round of the season, race scheduled for next weekend at Mugello.

This is an important event for the Italian series both for the prestige of the marque and experience of the two drivers, that both have a Formula 1 past. This highlights once more the professionalism of the team led by Simone Petri.

The livery of the car will be quite impressive as it mixes the colours of the Union Jack and those of the Italian flag. “It is a splendid livery. – Simone Petri explains – It has been designed by Bentley Motors Ltd on the indication from the n.1 of the British outfit, Mr Robert Engstler and M-Sport’s Mr Malcolm Wilson. They are the first that I would like to thank for the debut in the Italian series, as the head of Aci Sport that contributed decisively to this exceptional debut."

"Everything started by chance – the team principal of the Italian squad - in occasion of the opening of the second BENTLY FLORENCE/ROME dealer by our Petri Corse Automobili. Mr Engstler saw our motorsport department during his visit at our headquarters in Florence and decided to give us this opportunity, that I was proud to accept. This is going to be the start of a great collaboration for me, Petri Corse Automobili and M-Sport, that is the Motorsport Factory, ahead of 2019 when the new Continental GT3 will be introduced. I chose two dear friends of mine of the likes of Nicola and Alex to thank Mr Engstler and Wilson for their trust. – Simone Petri concluded – Such an important debut needs to great champions of International value.”

The Bentley Continental GT3 is pushed by a biturbo 4.0 litres V8 capable of 550 bhp. It will go through the up and down-hills of the Tuscany track starting from Friday’s free practice from 10,30 to 11,20 and from 14,35 to 15,25.
