Castelletto di Branduzzo (Pavia), October, 25th, 2020. The International Circuit 7 Laghi in Castelletto di Branduzzo closed the Italian ACI Karting Championship with a closing round that named the winners of all the Italian titles of KZ2, MINI International Group 3, 60 National Minikart, IAME X30 Junior and Senior, ROK Junior and Senior.

More than 160 drivers got on track for the much-awaited finals on Sunday, October 25th, that enjoyed a sunny day after an uncertain eve, which produced an exceptional spectacle both in Race1 and Race2.

In KZ2 Giuseppe Palomba wins Race1 and grabs the Italian title.
In KZ2, Giuseppe Palomba on BirelART-TM of team LG Motorsport secured the Italian title thanks to a great win in Race1 leading one of his closest rivals, the Sicilian Angelo Lombardo (VRT Motorsport/Parolin-TM). The former champion Simone Cunati (Modena Kart/BirelART-TM) had been leading the classification up to this closing race, but had to give his hopes up as he had to settle for a seventh-place that was later on converted into a P6 due to the penalty handed to Moritz Ebner (Tec-Tav/BirelART-TM) following contact between the two one third into the race. Palomba, therefore, secured the margin that gave him the mathematical certainty of the Italian title. The third step of the podium went to a great Alessandro Buran (Renda Motorsport/BirelART-Vortex), that has been a great protagonist of Race2 winning the duel for the win with Cunati. Ebner got on the podium of Race2, next to Buran and Cunati, while Lombardo and Palomba were respectively fourth and fifth at the end of a good battle.

The MINI International title to the Japanese Kean Nakamura.
In the International MINI Group 3, only the epilogue of Race2 named the Italian Champion of this highly spectacular category. The victory of Race1 went to the American Kai Sorensen (Parolin/Parolin-TM) at the end of a good duel that involved also the Brit Fionn McLughlin of Team Driver, KR-Iame, and his two teammates – the Japanese classification leader Kean Nakamura-Berta and the Italian Antonio Apicella, who was also fighting for the title – as Sorensen’s teammate from Poland Maciej Gladysz and his fellow-countryman Jan Przyrowski (Parolin/Parolin-TM), that classified in the order. The title was decided in Race2 when the victory went to Przyrowski, who led McLughlin and René Lammers (Baby Race/Parolin-IAME), but nobody could total more points than Nakamura who, despite the retirement due to a problem to his chain, managed to keep a two points lead on Apicella and Sorensen.

Rocchio and Sala won the two finals of National Mini, but the title went to Sardo.
Salvatore Alfio Sardo (Intrepid-TM) completed a great comeback from the heats to the fourth place of Race 1 in National Minikart and clinched the title with this result. The victory in Race1 went to Gino Rocchio (Parolin-TM), who led Ludovico Busso (Team Gamoto/Tony Kart-TM) and Mattia Borri (Parolin-TM). The victory in Race2 went to Filippo Sala (Team Driver/Parolin-TM), who won the Under 10 classification. The second place went to Cristian Tonalini (MLG Racing/BirelART-TM) and the third to Gino Rocchio. Sardo was fourth again with the title in the bag.

Bondarev and Mareghi won the IAME X30 Junior finals, Scognamiglio the title.
Race1 of IAME X30 Junior has been very exciting and the Ukrainian Oleksandr Bondarev (Honta/Tony Kart-Iame) pipped Francesco Marenghi (Team Driver/KR-Iame) and Matteo De Palo (Mixauto Motorsport/Tony Kart-Iame) who dominated qualifying. Team Gamoto’s driver Manuel Scognamiglio on Tony Kart-Iame just needed the sixth place in the first final to claim the title. In Race2, Marenghi won from the Chinese Yuanpu Cui to Vincenzo Scarpetta, both on KR-Iame run by Team Kidix, while Bondarev was fourth and the new champion Scognamiglio seventh.

Danny Carenini unstoppable in Race1 of IAME X30 Senior. Malizia won race2
Danny Carenini (Autoeuropeo/Tony Kart-Iame) put in an amazing comeback in IAME X30 Senior and took the victory and the Italian title in Race1 despite starting from P15. The podium of Race1 was rounded off by Mattia Ingolfo (Team Driver/KR-Iame) and Valentino Baracco (Kalì-Kart-Iame). Carenini got also on the podium of Race2, despite the grid inversion. The victory went in this case to his teammate from France Arnaud Malizia, while the third place went to another strong interpreter of this series, Cristian Comanducci (PRK/Tony Kart-Iame).

Rok Junior: Race1 and title to Riccardo Ianniello. Megna won Race2.
In Rok Junior, Riccardo Iannello on Tony Kart-Vortex of KGT Motorsport won Race1 taking the title. In the first final the podium was rounded off by Eliseo Donno (Tony Kart-Vortex) and Leonardo Megna (Zanchi Motorsport/Tony Kart-Vortex). In Race2 Megna took the win leading Lorenzo Bedetti (Tony Kart-Vortex) and the Swiss Roy Alan Shaw (Ferrara Kart/Tony Kart-Vortex). Ianniello had to retire early from the final but he already had the title in the bag.

Molinari is the surprise of Rok Senior and takes the title.
A super Giorgio Ermanno Molinari on Exprit-Vortex won Race1 after dominating qualifying heats. He won the first final leading the two New Technology drivers, Tanja Muller and Riccardo Colombo on RK-Vortex, while the previous classification leader, Giuseppe Gaglianò of New Technology, had to settle for P5. The title decider was Race2. Gaglianò had to retire after four laps and the victory went to Muller from Colombo, while Molinari was third and surprisingly claimed the title.
