Palomba and Irlando triumph in the two finals of KZ2 in the Italian ACI Karting Championship in Adria

The winners of the double finals in Adria: Palomba and Irlando in KZ2, Comanducci and Carenini in X30 Senior, Baccaglini and Pavan in X30 Junior, Czepiel (two wins) in Rok Senior, Jentile and Fracassi in Rok Junior.

Adria (Rovigo), May 9th, 2021. A good spectacle was expected at the Adria Karting Raceway for the second round of the Italian Karting Championship and the expectations were fulfilled. The victories in KZ2 went to Giuseppe Palomba of Team LG Motorsport on BirelART-TM Racing in Race-1, Alex Irlando of Team NGM Motorsport on CRG-TM Racing in Race-2. In X30 Senior Cristian Comanducci (PRK/Tony Kart-Iame) produced a good spectacle in Race-1 and Danny Carenini (Autoeuropeo/Tony Kart-Iame) did the same in Race-2. In X30 Junior Leonardo Baccaglini (KR-Iame) and Sebastiano Pavan (Team Driver/KR-Iame) shared the victory. The Pole Karol Czepiel (KRT Exprit/Exprit-Vortex) won both races in Rok Senior, while the two finals of Rok Junior went to Mattia Jentile (Autoeuropeo/Tony Kart-Vortex) and Alberto Kiko Fracassi (Tony Kart-Vortex).

In KZ2 Palomba gets Race-1 and is the new leader, Irlando wins Race-2.
In the first of the two KZ2 finals, Giuseppe Palomba (Team LG Motorsport/BirelART-TM Racing) managed to get the lead and keep it all the way to the flag, fending off the attacks of Alessio Piccini (Tribe One/BirelART-TM Racing) and Alex Irlando (NGM Motorsport /CRG-TM Racing), that ended in the order right in the slipstream of Palomba. Behind the leading trio, a great Fabrizio Rosati (Team Driver/KR-TM Racing) won the battle for P4 from the Pole David Liwinski (Renda Motorsport/BirelART-TM Racing) to the always quicker Lorenzo Travisanutto (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Racing). In the Under-20 KZ2, classification, Palomba got again on the top step of the podium, while con Liwinski was second leading his teammate Marcus Funda.
In Race-2, despite the top 8 grid inversion, Alex Irlando completed a great recovery race and managed to find his way past Alessandro Buran (Renda Motorsport/BirelART-TM Racing) in the closing laps and take the win in this way. The third step of the podium went to Fabrizio Rosati, who led the new classification leader Giuseppe Palomba. The fifth place went to Lorenzo Travisanutto, followed by Giacomo Pollini (NGM Motorsport/CRG-TM Racing) after he claimed P10 in Race-1 at the end of a good recover. The seventh place went to Moritz Ebner (Tec Tav/BirelART-TM Racing), the eighth to Alessio Piccini. In the KZ2 Under-20, Giuseppe Palomba was again on the top step of the podium, while Moritz Ebner (Tec Tav/BirelART-TM Racing) was second and Marcus Funda third.

Good wins for Comanducci and Carenini in X30 Senior.
In X30 Senior Cristian Comanducci (PRK/Tony Kart-Iame) claimed a spectacular win leading the Bulgarian Nikola Tsolov (Team Driver/KR-Iame). Danny Carenini (Autoeuropeo/Tony Kart-Iame) lost P3 due to a 5s time penalty due to the misplaced front fairing. Therefore, the third place was inherited by Manuel Scognamiglio (Gamoto/Tony Kart-Iame), who had already won some heats. The fourth place went to Paolo Gallo (GP-Iame), while the other two team Autoeuropeo’s drivers Filippo Croccolino and Riccardo Colombo ended fifth and sixth. Carenini was seventh, Vittorio Maria Russo (TB Kart Racing Team/TB Kart-Iame) eighth. In Race-2, Danny Carenini had clear way from the front row due to the grid inversion, and he took the win from Cristian Comanducci, who recovered a lot of ground. The third place went to the French Arnaud Malizia (Autoeuropeo/Red Speed-Iame) due to a time penalty handed to Valentino Baracco (Novalux/Luxor-Iame), who had crossed the finish line in P3. Eliseo Donno (KGT/Tony Kart-Iame) secured a great P4, while Paolo Gallo was fifth and Manuel Scognamiglio sixth.

Baccaglini and Pavan share the success in X30 Junior.
X30 Junior was characterized by several good duels. In Race-1, the victory went to Leonardo Baccaglini (KR-Iame), while the other two podium positions went to Riccardo Leone Cirelli (Autoeuropeo/Tony Kart-Iame) and the Russian Dmitry Matveev (Team Driver/KR-Iame), who comes from Mini and is still at the initial experiences in Junior. The fourth place went to another rookie of Mini, Tiziano Monza, who secured some wins also in the heats. The Bulgarian Kaloyan Varbitzaliev (Autoeuropeo/Tony Kart-Iame), Davide Larini (Newman Motorsport/Tony Kart-Iame), Giacomo Maman (Zanchi Motorsport/Tony kart-Iame) and Antonio Apicella (Team Driver/KR-Iame) were also in the leading pack. Sebastiano Pavan (Team Driver/KR-Iame) completed a spectacular race from P9 of Race-1 securing the victory in Race-2 after a good duel with Varbitzaliev and the Chinese Yuanpu Cui (Beyond Racing Team/KR-Iame). The fourth place went to Francesco Marenghi (Team Driver/KR-Iame), who led Tiziano Monza, Giacomo Maman, Antonio Apicella, Davide Larini, Alessandro Minetto and Giulio Olivieri.

In Rok Senior Czepiel won both races, while Jentile and Fracassi claimed one race each in Rok Junior.
In Rok Senior, the Pole Karol Czepiel (KRT Exprit/Exprit-Vortex) claimed the full haul taking the pole position and winning both finals. The podiums of Race-1 and Race-2 were identical, with Czepiel on top, followed by Marco Matera (MAD Racing/Tony kart-Vortex) and Giovanni Maschio (Kosmic-Vortex). The fourth place went to Alessandro Granelli (IPK-Vortex).
In Rok Junior, Mattia Jentile (Autoeuropeo/Tony Kart-Vortex) won from Thomas Baldassarri (Tony Kart-Vortex) and Alessandro Antonelli (Parolin-Vortex) in Race-1. Mattia Jentile had claimed another win in Race-2, but he was handed a 5s time penalty that relegated him to P8. Therefore, the victory went to Alberto Kiko Fracassi (Tony Kart-Vortex), while Alessandro Antonelli was second and the Pole Mateusz Piszczako (KRT Exprit/Exprit-Vortex) third.
