Important novelties for Rally Il Ciocco and Valle del Serchio

The race is at its 36th edition and will open as usual the Italian Rally Championship.

23/01/2013 – A lot of novelties will characterize the 36th Rally il Ciocco and Valle del Serchio, that is scheduled from Friday 22nd of March to Sunday the 24th as the season opener of the Italian Rally 2013 Championship (CIR). These will involve the general structure of the race, that will follow the new format of the CIR, devised by ACI CSAI, according to which all the rounds will be run in two days with leg one on Saturday and leg two on Sunday.

Organization Sport Events as the race organizers extended the rally involving also the Versilia region, particularly Forte dei Marmi.

The new race structure will have Forte dei Marmi as the center of Friday 22nd, where technical verifications and the shake down will take place on a street a few kilometers away from the town with start scheduled for 19.00 (GMT+1). After the start, the cars will head to Ciocco for park fermè.

The two legs of the rally will follow on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th. The first will involve 12 stages with start at 6.30 and arrival at 18.45 at Ciocco. The second leg will be shorter and will consist of 4 timed stages. The start will be at Ciocco at 7.30 on Sunday while the end of the rally is set at Castelnuovo Garfagnana at 13.00. Overall the rally will consist of 541.23 Km with 16 stages summing up to 152.50 timed kilometers.
