Programme and itinerary of the 2013 Targa Florio

The joint effort between Automobile Club of Italy and AC Palermo is continuing.

23 August 2013 – It is going to be a full of novelty Targa Florio but along the lines of the history of the most ancient race in the world the edition that will be run from 27 to 29 September valid for the seventh out of eight rounds of the Italian Rally Championship.

Preparation works are continuing on two fronts. The first involves closely Automobile Club of Italy in the seek for the required resources to close the budget to hold the race. The second regards the study and implementation of all the technical and sportive aspects of the competition, an operation that will be carried out as joint effort among AC Palermo's men and Automobile Club of Italy's ones.

The itinerary and the programme of the race have been defined meanwhile. The prologue will take place on Saturday 28 September with the the starting ceremony at 20.00 (GMT+2) in the classic setting of Piazza Castelnuovo, close to the Politeama theater right in Palermo's city center. The only leg of the race will be on Sunday 29 September with start set for 7.30 and finish line at 21.00.

Start, finish, shakedown, service park, headquarters and press office will be in Campofelice di Roccella, the town that used to house the start of the first editions of the Targa Florio.
The race programme will involve four stages to be repeated three times, namely: Targa, Lascari, Piano Battaglia and Polizzi.
