Aci Team Italy presented today

Introduced today the project that will allow very young rally drivers to be part of a programme to improve their professionalism.

8 May 2014. The young and very young drivers selected to take part in the project set up by the Sportive Commission of Automobile Club of Italy have been presented today. The project by Aci Team Italy is an initiative that fits in the project young drivers of the Federation. In the last few months a group of experts led by Daniele Settimo and composed by Claudio Bortoletto, Marco Ferrari, Pucci Grossi and Luciano Tedeschini, followed closely the drivers involved in several Italian rally series and devised a team that has been presented today at Hotel Acacia Resort of Campofelice di Roccella (PA) at 15.30 in occasion of the Rally Targa Florio.

The project will allow a group of young and very young rally drivers that showed interesting programmes to the selecting panel to get access to specific sponsoring and to improve their professionalism. Being part of ACI TEAM ITALY will also allow them to get access to a selection process for a professional growth. The chosen drivers will have the chance to attend testing sessions held at the Federal School as well as to management and communication courses.

The 19 youngsters selected will be followed throughout this season and at the end of the year a further selection will be made. The final selection will take place in 2015 with the aim to choose two drivers that will take part to the 2016 edition of the World Rally Championship.
