The two free practice sessions that opened the programme at Adria International Raceway, have seen the Canadian Lance Stroll (Prema Power Team) to the fore as this morning he set the pace in 1'15"980. His quickest performance was 125 thousands clear of that of his team mate Brandon Maisano. The Milanese driver Andrea Russo (Diegi Motorsport), was up in third in the first session as he posted a time of 1'16"241. The latter improved in the second session as he led the pack with the time of 1'16"079. Maisano and Stroll, kept the second position of practice two with the same time of 1'16"086.
RIGHT BEHIND THE PACE SETTERS.
Russo and Stroll, together with Maisano, confirmed to be the quickest in the two free practice sessions, but behind them are some drivers that it will be worth keeping an eye on: Matteo Cairoli (Antonelli Motorsport), Mattia Drudi (Adria Raceway by Cram) and Leonardo Pulcini (Euronova Racing) followed in order in both timesheets. The three young Italian promising drivers will have the chance to improve today with qualifying.
THE RACE PROGRAMME.
Two qualifying sessions of 15 mins each are scheduled for today, the first to decide Race one starting grid (to start tomorrow at 9:00hrs local time). Race 2 starting grid will reflect the standings of race one, with top ten drivers inversion. The starting grid of Race 3 scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at 17:00hrs will follow the result of qualifying 2 scheduled for today at 18:45.
