Monza race 2 highlights

Alatalo wins his first race in F4. Starting from 3° position Muecke driver is fast and consistant in a race full of uncertainty. Watch highlights!

Finnish, year 2002, William Alatalo starts from 3° position in race 2 and conquers second place overtaking Gregoire Saucy (Jenzer Motorsport). Behind them, in fourth position, Ian Rodriguez (DRZ Benelli). First minutes of the race see an amazing battle for the first five positions, until after 4 minutes of race when Fabio Venditti (Corbetta Competizioni) goes out of track and safety car is in, with behind the compacted group led by Leonardo Lonardi (Bhai Tech Racing), Alatalo, Rodriguez, Olli Caldwell (Prema Theodore Racing) and team mate Jack Doohan.

At the restart Alatalo is extremely fast and gains some distance from Lonardi who, in the effort of taking back first position loses 4, while Enzo Fittipaldi (Prema Theodore Racing) catches up from 7th row on the grid and is just behind the Italian.

12 minutes to the end of the race Anthony Famularo (Bhai Tech Racing) and Ido Cohen (Muecke Motorsport) crash into each other and safety car is again in. Still with safety car in, there is an accident on the strait of the start generated by Niklas Krutten (Muecke Motorsport), who is too irruent, hitting two other cars. In the meantime Jack Doohan ovetakes Rodriguez, and Fittipaldi does the same with Lorandi. Until the last lap battle continues, with Lorandi overtaking back Fittipaldi, who in the last curve touches with team mate Doohan, and finally goes off track. Still in the last lap, Caldwell is all over Alatalo, who though manages to keep first position and win race 2.
