Malvestiti and Lorandi conquer pole positions in Imola

Malvestiti conquers first two pole positions of 2018 for team Jenzer Motorsport, while Lorandi is back strong after a difficult weekend in Misano

Qualifying sessions: It is a fantastic Federico Malvestiti who obtains best overall results in the two qualifying sessions of the morning on the Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola, conquering pole position of race 1, with best absolute time of the two sessions (1’45.098), and pole on race 3 with best second lap time of the two sessions (1’45.154). Pole position of race 2 has been conquered by Leonardo Lorandi (Bhai Tech Racing – 1’45.104) who, after a very difficult weekend in Misano, is back fast and concentrated, also conquering a good third place for race 1. Enzo Fittipaldi (Prema Theodore Racing), championship leader, is fast but not enough and does not conquer any pole position, but is in first row of the grip of race 1 and in third position for race 2.

Among Rookies the first two drivers of the Trophy standing obtain also best lap times in qualifying, with the Trophy leader Petr Ptacek (Bhai Tech Racing) who is 7° in qualifying 1 and 5° in qualifying 2, while Gianluca Petecof (Prema Theodore Racing) obtains a good 6° in qualifying 1 and a 7° position in qualifying 2.

Some problems for Amna Al Qubaisi (Prema Theodore Racing) who has had an accident yesterday during FP2  and so the engine of her F4 had to be changed. Due to this, the first Arab driver in the history of motorsports has not been able to utilize all FP2 laps.
