The strong rain stops the recovery of Lorandi on Fittipladi, as after a few laps race direction has to send safety car on track as acquaplaning was huge and visibility only a few meters. After the start, in fact, Fittipaldi was first, attacked for only a moment by Gianluca Petecof, second, and Olli Caldwell third. Behind an extremely fast Petr Ptacek, and a strong Leonardo Lorandi, have no time to do their job, as safety car is nìon track and race is finally stopped with red flag.
