Oliver Rasmussen with Prema in 2019 for the Italian and German Formula 4 Championship

Prema is delighted to make its first driver announcement for the 2019 Formula 4 season. The Italian squad will be joined by Oliver Rasmussen, the 18-year-old driver from Denmark but based in southern France, for a double programme in the Italian and German Formula 4 Championships.

Despite his short career so far, having started racing relatively late and entered international karting only in 2017, he made his F4 debut last year and quickly got the right chemistry with the car and environment.

Rasmussen showed good potential in his maiden season in single seaters, finding his way to a top-10 finish overall and to the rookie podium. With 2019, he will take a much more articulated approach to the championship, aimed at making a crucial step forward in terms of performance and results.

Angelo Rosin - Team Principal
“It is always great to welcome a new young driver to the team. We look forward to working with Oliver in the 2019 season. He only started to race single seaters this year but quickly showed good progress. He seems really committed and dedicated, so we think there will be a great chance for him to grow up professionally. We will provide him with our best support and I am certain the results will come naturally.”

Oliver Rasmussen
“I am really excited to join one of the best teams in business for 2019 in both the Italian and German F4 Championships. I will do my best throughout the winter to prepare and be ready to fight at the front next year. I really want to thank Prema for giving me this chance. I hope this will be the beginning of a long and successful collaboration with the team.”
