The “matador” of the qualifying practices Dennis Hauger (Van Amersfoort Racing) has no difficulty in leading the entire race 1 on the extremely hot Hungarian track (29.1°C the air and 49°C the asphalt). His advantage on Gianluca Petecof (Prema Powerteam), absolute leader of the Championship and who will need to take care of the upcoming Norwegian, grows constantly lap after lap.

In the final standings of race 1 we find from third position Paul Aron (Prema Powerteam), Roman Stanek (US Racing) and Alessandro Famularo (Prema Powerteam), who for various laps battles with William Alatalo (Muecke Motorsport), who will not be able to pass and will finally be sixth.

An accident between Oliver Rasmussen and Kruetten determines the entry of safety car that, when about to exit, has to move back on the track due to an accident by Amna Al Qubaisi, who retires with a broken front left suspension.
