Paul Ricard, race 2: Petecof broads his shoulders and wins over Leclerc

From pole position the Brazilian driver sprints well and must defend himself from the Monegasque's attacks throughout the race. Behind them a fantastic duel and overtaking by VIps on Chevet for third position.

Gianluca Petecof (Prema Powerteam) starts from pole in race 2 and sprints very well, while behind him his teammate Arthur Leclerc is immediately attached to the Brazilian and maintains a gap under the second for the whole race. The gap is also reduced to under 4 tenths, but the Monegasque never manages to unleash a real attack on Petecof, who for his part makes an impeccable race closing every step.

Behind them with a small gap, but more than a second, the battle is between Pierre-Louis Chovet (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Juri Vips, Red Bull Junior Team driver of KIC Motorsport. It is precisely the Estonian driver who launches a sensational attack on the Frenchman and overtakes him after a few corners in which the cars of the two drivers are side by side and the outcome appears doubtful.

The race then ends with the victory of Petecof, followed by Leclerc, Vips, Chovet, Rasmussen and Pasma.

Tomorrow race 3 will start at 11:20, where Petecof will start once again on pole in front of Leclerc, for a battle to follow.
