Gap (France), Wednesday, January 22, 2025 – The 93rd Monte-Carlo Rally officially kicks off today with the Shakedown session at Route de la Garde (3.28 km). Roberto Daprà, representing ACI Team Italia, will take on the event in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 prepared by Delta Rally, alongside co-driver Luca Guglielmetti.

The Monte-Carlo Rally marks the first of seven rounds in the WRC2 championship for Daprà. Other planned events include the Canary Islands Rally in April, the Portugal Rally in May, the Sardinia and Acropolis Rallies in June, and two additional rounds yet to be confirmed—one expected to occur outside Europe.

This is the third time that the 23-year-old driver from Trentino has entered the Monte-Carlo Rally. “I’ve never raced Monte-Carlo in these conditions before. So, it will be an interesting experience,” said Daprà. “I’m expecting different road conditions compared to the recce. On Monday and Tuesday, the roads were dry, but since then, it’s rained and snowed in some areas. The stages will be more demanding, with possible snow and muddy sections on the tarmac. The work done during the recce will be crucial.

“This year, our goal is to continue improving. We aim to build on last year’s performance while gaining more experience with this more powerful car,” he added.
