Gap (France), January 23rd, 2025 – After the traditional starting ceremony at Place du Casino in Monte-Carlo, Daprà set the fourth-fastest time among the WRC2 competitors on the two special stages “Digne les Bains-Chaudon-Norante” (19.01 km) and “Faucon du Caire-Bréziers” (21.18 km). Then, he recorded the third-fastest time on the “Avançon-Notre Dame du Laus” stage (13.97 km). However, this stage was suspended after Yohan Rossel’s run due to poorly positioned spectators, preventing Daprà from starting it. He ended the first leg in fourth place in the WRC2 standings, behind Yohna and Léo Rossel (both driving Citroëns) and Camilli in the Hyundai, while Yohan Rossel (Citroën) leads the category.

“We are happy,” said Daprà upon arriving in Gap, “because our time gaps compared to the others are better than last year, so we’re satisfied. We were cautious on the first stage and improved on the second. It’s a shame that the third stage was cancelled. Tomorrow won’t be easy. There will certainly be ice and snow on the second stage. We’ll see what the conditions are like in the morning.”
