Great performance by the Italian driver on the snowy roads of Lapland, securing 7th place in SM2 and 30th overall.
Rovaniemi (Finland), February 3rd, 2025 – Valentino Ledda returned to competition last weekend at the 60th Arctic Lapland Rally, once again representing ACI Team Italia in the second round of the 2025 Finnish Rally Championship. It was a demanding two-day event for the driver from Burgos, who tackled 214 competitive kilometers on Friday and Saturday along Lapland’s snowy roads, which set the stage for thirteen specials. Rovaniemi served as the central hub for both the ceremonial start and finish.
Ledda, co-driven by Danilo Fappani in a Renault Clio Rally3 equipped with Pirelli tyres and managed by TGS Motorsport, finished his first Arctic Lapland Rally in 7th place in the SM2 class and 30th overall out of 144 competitors, despite some challenges, particularly on Friday.
“It was a positive experience where I gained valuable mileage and showed a good pace, close to the Top 5,” said Ledda. “Unfortunately, on Friday, we got stuck in a snowbank and had to retire, but we rejoined the race on Saturday thanks to the super rally. Despite a few minor issues with the car, we maintained a strong pace. Finishing 7th in SM2 and 30th overall among 144 competitors is a great result. I want to thank ACI Team Italia, Sparco, Pirelli, and all my sponsors for their support. Now, full focus on the next one.”
With the Arctic Lapland Rally now behind him, Ledda is already looking ahead to his next challenge: the Savonlinna Ralli, set to take place in southern Finland in the first week of March.

VALENTINO LEDDA
In 2022, Valentino Ledda was selected by the Scuola Federale ACI Sport to represent Italy in the FIA Cross Car Academy Trophy, a European series in which he finished as runner-up. Thanks to his participation in the 3rd Stage Off-Road, where he was recognized as the best cadet, Ledda had the opportunity to compete in the Monza Rally as a “prize race” offered by ACI Sport, driving a Yamaha YXZ 1000 R—a 4WD car he had previously driven during the stage. 2024 marked his first year in rallying as an ACI Team Italia representative within the Finnish Rally Championship, paired with co-driver Claudio Mele in a Renault Clio, securing fourth place in the Rally4 standings.
