The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine is set to return to the spotlight more than three months since the start of the 2024 season. The international series, organized by ACI Sport and Alpine Racing, will indeed be celebrated next Saturday, February 17, at the Palacongressi of Taormina, where champion Andrea Kimi Antonelli will be awarded.

This marks another significant accolade for the young driver from Bologna, who has inscribed his name in the history of the international series by securing a record-breaking 300 points in a single season.

Antonelli, who has long been considered one of the reference drivers of the Italian Federation, began his foray into the world of karting with the Kart Summer Camp, an event that marked the beginning of a successful career in the discipline, culminating in winning the prestigious Supercorso of the Scuola Federale ACI Sport. His career has been on a continuous rise, marked by numerous triumphs such as that of 2022, a year in which he shone by winning both the German and Italian Formula 4 championships, setting a record for victories in both venues. In the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, Kimi has demonstrated extraordinary skill, securing five victories, five second places, one third place, and four pole positions.
