Olbia, Thursday 20 June 2013 Athmosphere of big occasions in Sardonic thanks to the double round of the World Rally Championship and of the Italian Rally Championship. Double round also for the Italian Rally Championship as the Sardinia race will also be valid for the thrid round of the Italian Gravel Trophy. The await is therefore more than justified for all fans that are ready to follow not only the big names of the WRC but also those of the Italian series and the wizards of gravel roads that already competed in the Conca D'Oro and in the 20th Rally Adriatico, valid for the Italian Rally. Six stages are scheduled for this round for a total of 129 km, featuring also the tough and very long "Monte Lerno", of more than 31 km.

This, in summary the situation in terms of stages but from tomorrow fans will have the chance of watching cars and lineups starting at 17.15 GMT+1 from Olbia's start line. Excitement for the lineups that have already been scrutinized and that will take part in the shakedown at Monte Pinu from 13.30 to 16.00. This is going to be a crucial test especially for such a charming race. Among the possible protagonists of the eve, Paolo Andreucci with his coequiper Anna Andreussi who in the occasion will be back on the winning Peugeot 207 Super2000. Unique choice by Peugeot Italia, to highlight on the world championship stage the car and the class and experience of the Italian reigning champion Paolo Andreucci. Skoda Italia Motorsport will line up the classification leader Umberto Scandola, who is back as protagonist behind the wheel of the works Skoda Fabia S2000 after the win at the Rally Adriatico.

It is going to be an interesting battle on top which will be made even more interesting by the Italian reigning Gravel Trophy where the classification leader Luigi Ricci, onSubaru Impreza R4, will challenge the expert Renato Travaglia, first on the roads of Adriatico and recovering in the standings, but also Fabio Gianfico and Valter Pierangioli, on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX ; Costenaro on the Peugeot 207 S2000 and Tonso on Ford Fiesta S2000. The very good Alessandro Perico, on Peugeot 207 S2000 of PA Racing, will be back ready to prove that his class does not limit to asphalt. These are the main ingredients of the 32nd Rally Costa Smeralda, that is expected to welcome the crowd of great occasions.
