Umberto Scandola and Guido D'amore, Skoda Fabia S2000 end day one of the 22nd Rally Adriatico on top

After two rounds the driver from Verona is leading Basso, Ford Fiesta R5 LDI and the French Chardonnet, Ford Fiesta R5. Mauro Trentin on Peugeot 207 S2000 on top in the Gravel Trophy.

Cingoli (Macerata), 1 May 2015 – The gravel roads of Marche housed this afternood the 22nd Rally Adriatico, third round of the Italian Rally Championship and first of the Gravel Trophy at the Lake of Cingoli. A total of 66 lineups got on track for two stages, the "Avenale" of 8.18 Km to be repeated twice. The quickest time was posted by Umberto Scandola, together with Guido D'Amore on Skoda Fabia S2000, that end on top leg one ahead of Giandomenico Basso on Ford Fiesta R5 powered by GPL, that was 3''7 short of the lead, while the French Sebastien Chardonnet on another Ford Fiesta was third at 4''9. The fourth absolute time was set by the Tuscan driver Paolo Andreucci, who had some small problems at the pop off valve of his Peugeot 208 T16 R5.

Among the Gravel Trophy protagonists, Mauro Trentin and his co-driver Alice De Marco on Peugeot 207 S2000 lead Ricci, Ford Fiesta R5.
In the Italian CIR Production, the challenge between Ivan Ferrarotti and Fabrizio Andolfi Jr. currently sees the driver from Savona on top on Renault Clio R3C. In the Italian Rally Junior, great race so far for Alberto Rossi, Peugeot 208 R2. In the Suzuki Rallye Trophy and ACI R1, Alessandro Uliana is leading the way on Suzuki Swift R1B, while Luca Panzani is on top of the Renault Twingo R2 Top Trophy.
Great first day also for Max Rendina on Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, who still has some problems due to the fracture to a toe.

The challenge will continue tomorrow from Cingoli at 07.31. Nine stages are scheduled: three loops at the "Colli del Verdicchio", 9.3 km, "Castel Sant'Angelo", 15 km, and the "dei  Laghi", 11 km. Three live streaming feeds by ACI Sport will cover the second leg: one at 9:40 and at 13:10 at the stop check of "Castel Sant'Angelo", then a final connection is scheduled at the finish line of the rally, scheduled for 18,13 from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, in Cingoli's town center. A TV special will take place tomorrow evening at 23,40 on Rai Sport 2, with the special on the 22nd Rally Adriatico.
