A tight and tough race, wearing drivers and cars off, in which the color bearer of the Lion brand has been protagonist from lights to flag, challenging Ukrein's Protasov for the victory in WRC2 until the last kilometer.

Paolo Andreucci: what is in your mind when, after more than 380kms of tests, you are only half a second behind your rival? Certainly that you are doing one of the most beautiful and unpredictable sports in the world. And then that it is not over yet, that you have to try and give your best in the final kilometers because what you have done up to that point has not been enough to be on top. These have been the thoughts I had before the final stage. I pushed as I could but the stage was quite narrow and tricky, with walls on both sides. WE could not manage to recoup but we obtained a great result anyway. One to be remembered for sure! First Italian, top ten finish against the more powerful WRC cars! It has been a stunning and incredible race, a 208 T16 managed to put in good performance and to complete a wearing race like this, which means that the work done by the whole team as been great as always. The rally was played very well on strategy and tactics, without looking for the performance all the time but trying not to run too many risks. Choosing the right setup has been a huge work and Pirelli tyres have been perfect in all the 400km of the race. I am really extremely happy on getting the most of the opportunity that Peugeot gave me and we collected a huge amount of data on the gravel that will be handy to prepare the next round of the Italian Rally Championship".
