Cividale del Friuli (UD), Friday 28 August 2015 – A good and tight race, that has said a lot and a lot has still to say. Paolo Andreucci and Anna Andreussi, Peugeot 208 T16 R5 ended leg one on top of the 51st Rally of Friuli Venezia Giulia, but behind them, Alessandro Perico, great second on the Peugeot 208 T16 R5, and Giandomenico Basso, GPL powered Ford Fiesta R5 BRC, still have good chances to attack the Tuscan driver in the second and decisive leg to be run tomorrow. Umberto Scandola had to give up his hopes on the victory in the second stage as the front-end of his Skoda Fabia R5 got heavily damaged in a contact.

Good performance for the young Michele Tassone instead who was at the debut with the 208 T16 R5, who was promoted from fifth to fourth in the last stage, where a great Simone Campedelli had to stop due to some mechanical problems to his Peugeot 207 S2000. The Italo-Swiss Stefano Baccega also went out due to alternator problems on his Ford Fiesta R5 in the last stage, after setting some good splits.
Bad luck has also hit Ivan Ferrarotti who had to retire one stage into the rally giving clear way to his rival Luca Rossetti in the Renault Clio R3T Trophy, losing also the chance to score some important points in the Italian Production title. Among the Swift R1B battling for the Suzuki Rally Trophy, great day for Alessando Uliana.

The final challenge will resume tomorrow from Cividale at 10. Six stages will await the drivers: two loops of the "Subit”, 14,08 km, "Mersino”, 21,72 km, and "Stregna”, 14,89 km. The ACI Sport Service live streaming will also cover the second day at 10:55 at the Canebola junction in the "Subit”stage and at 15:10 at the stop check of the same stage. The final appointment with the streaming is scheduled from Piazza Duomo of Cividale t 18,20. The second TV special will aso take place tomorrow evening at 22,20 on Rai Sport 2 with the highlights of the race held in Friuli.
