Cividale del Friuli (UD), Saturday 29 August 2015 – This makes it nine. Nine Italian Rally Champion titles in a career and an adventure lasting a lifetime. One started several years ago but that does not seem to live a descending phase. Paolo Andreucci from Castelnuovo Garfagnana, at the wheel of the Peugeot 208 T16 R5 of Peugeot Italia, secured the title winning the 51st Rally of Friuli Venezia Giulia, race organized by Scuderia Friuli in collaboration with Automobile Club di Udine, as sixth of the eight races of the Italian Rally Championship. Alongside him, his Anna Andreussi, from Friuli, a top class co-driver an several times (eight) Italian Champion. The second place in the race went to another Peugeot 208 T16 R5, that of Alessandro Perico who has been once again very quick on tarmac, despite he misses some confidence on gravel, and managed to keep at bay a tough rival of the likes of Giandomenico Basso. An aside chapter has to be opened for the driver from Vicenza and for Umberto Scandola. The first lost Andreucci's slipstream since the first stage on the GPL powered Ford Fiesta BRC that suddenly slowed down in the stage and then lost the second position due to a puncture in the second. That was another missed chance for the strong rival of Andreucci. Umberto Scandola on Skoda Fabia R5 had to retire due to the damage sustained by his car as happened in the previous race. The driver from Verona is living a difficult moment but will have the chance to work to find the right technical solutions to find speed without hammering the car.
Among the races to highlight, Luca Rossetti and his Renault Clio R3T obtained a great P5 that was worth the first position in the Italian Production Championship and in the Renault Trophy. Thanks to this result, he managed to close in on Ivan Ferrarotti, who had to stop early on. In the Production classification, that will live its final act in Verona at the beginning of October, he strengthened his leadership in the single branded championship of the French make.

Simone Campedelli has been quick but in the end he was only ninth due to some electric problems to his Peugeot 207 Super 2000. Michele Tassone, good until the fatal mistake on Peugeot 208 T16 R5, and Fabrizio Andolfi Junior, who retired due to technical problems on his Ford Fiesta R5 did not manage to finish the race.
In the Suzuki Rally Trophy, games are still opened for the R1B Swift after the retirement of Gubertini in stage 9, giving the victory to Alessandro Uliana, from Vallino to Rao, as the latter was the first of the Under 25 drivers on the R1.
