All set ahead of the 3rd Rally di Roma Capitale

The seventh round of the Italian Rally Championship, race organized by Motorsport Italia, is getting close. Tomorrow Friday 18 September the start with the spectacle stage at the "Squared Colosseo”.

Rome, Thursday 17 September 2015 – The third edition of the Rally di Roma Capitale, race organized by Motorsport Italia, will start tomorrow. The start will take place at the "Squared Colosseo", in the EUR zone, at local 19:42.

The race of Rome will re-open the challenge for the Italian Rally and the race will also be valid for the Junior Italian title and for the National Rally Trophy. A total of 49 crews will take part in the competition, including 6 Wrc, the queens of the world rally that will compete in an international race with separate classification.
In the round of CIR, the seventh and penultimate of the season, the nine times Italian Champion from Tuscany Paolo Andreucci, together with Anna Andreussi on Peugeot 208 T16 R5, will try and get yet another victory in a race of the Italian Rally. His quest will be challenged by Giandomenico Basso and Lorenzo Granai on Ford Fiesta R5 ldi and Umberto Scandola, on Skoda Fabia R5 together with Guido D'Amore. Alessandro Perico, on Peugeot 208 T16 R5, one of the quickest drivers on tarmac, will also be present in Rome. Nicola Caldani will be back to the Italian championship on the Citroën DS3 R5 as the Italo-Swiss Stefano Baccega, on Ford Fiesta R5. Fabrizio Andolfi Junior, also on Fiesta R5 e and Simone Campedelli, coming from a great rally in Friuli, this time on a Peugeot 208 T16 R5 will also compete in Rome. This rally will also be valid as final round of the Junior championship, even if the title has been already awarded to Michele Tassone, who will not be present in Rome. The young Giuseppe Testa will be on his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X N4, the most tenacious rival of Tassone during this season. The young Giorgio Bernardi, on Peugeot 208 R2 and Corinne Federighi on Renault Twingo R2 will also be present.

The programme schedules 11 stages for a total of 158,50 timed kms out of a total itinerary of 736,41 km. As regarding the first leg, after the first stage on Friday, eight stages will follow on Saturday. The first intense racing day will feature the stages "Cave Tito Livio"(13,60km) at 09:15, at 13:50 and at 18:25, the "Bellegra Vitellia"(5,70 km) at 9:53, at 14:28 and at 19:03. The long "Monte Livata-Caput Mundi" (30,70 km) will complete the series of stages at 10.35 and at 15:10.
