Davide Uboldi is unstoppable on track at Vallelunga, pole position taken in the evening with a 1'33.563 lap. The driver who comes closest to him is Matteo Roccadelli (+0.591), who had long held the best lap, before the stop for the red flag shown following the exit of the Wolf of Joe Castellano in T12. With the session restarted, the driver from Como shown his true colors and flew on the hot track of the racetrack named after Piero Taruffi (55° on the track, 37° the air temperature): he managed the tyres well, pushing the car to the limit on a track he knows perfectly and on which, with great feats achieved over the years, he has made a name for himself. Nearly six tenths to the runner-up, having set the time both in yesterday's collective test and today's free practice. The concept is certainly clear: in the third round of the Italian Sport Prototypes Championship he will be the man to beat.

Matteo Roccadelli's performance was also excellent, and he will be an outsider in the 2022 season. Currently second in the drivers' classification, he is the driver who could most challenge the classification leader Giacomo Pollini at the moment. The driver from Vercelli will start from the front row trying to contain the poleman.

On the second row is Filippo Lazzaroni, who closes the qualifying session with a gap of 0.916 and is, after Roccadelli, the last of the drivers to keep the gap within a second. Championship leader Giacomo Pollini will start alongside him, starting from the second line, ahead of his cousin Matteo Pollini and Alessio Salvaggio. It is precisely the Sicilian, leader of the Under 25 class, who crowned an excellent performance in qualifying, with the 6th best time overall, which further underlines his path within the CISP 2022, characterised by very consistent and growing performance.

7th is Andrea Mosca, first Master in the classification, who defends his place in the class, but is also chasing points in the overall. Eighth best time for the Colombian David Molina, then complete the top 10 two Swedish drivers Erik Stilmann, so far unlucky in the race, is looking for a chance to turn around his fortunes in the Championship, then Simon Hulten.

After the first point has been awarded at the weekend near Rome, track activities will resume tomorrow, Sunday 3 July, at 10:20 with race 1, 25 minutes plus one lap. The last race will close the show for the weekend: it will take to the track at 16:20.

Both race sessions will be streamed live on @cisprototypes (Facebook and Youtube).
