Davide Uboldi will be at the start of the 2023 Italian Sport Prototypes Championship with his unfailing number 8 Wolf GB08 Thunder, and it is undeniable he will be an important concern to all the drivers aiming to compete for the title. So begins the wait for the start of the Championship, two and a half months before the opening round of the season, with one of the most awaited confirmations.

The driver from Como, already consecrated winner in the era preceding the advent of Wolf Racing Cars in the series, has always been present since the first race of 2018 on Wolf GB08 Thunder, working since then, year after year, with determination to better understand the driving technique of the Wolf, very different from the heavier cars he was used to. The results were immediately exciting, bringing Davide Uboldi to the ranks of the top drivers in the ACI Sport series, always fighting for the top positions, with exhilarating performances capable of igniting motorsport fans’ passion. From textbook starts to "impossible" comebacks, the driver from Como is a guarantee of entertainment and fun.

Even in the archived 2022 season, Uboldi took part in the harsh battle for the title until the very last round, keeping the fight alive on the track until the grand finale in Monza. To be at the start, on the weekend of April 23 at the Autodromo Enzo and Dino Ferrari in Imola, Davide Uboldi is expected at the best of his physical ability, certainly determined this year to finish the job, bringing home the title in one of the most significant seasons.  The 2023 edition of the Italian Sport Prototypes Championship, in fact, will mark the last year with the Wolf GB08 Thunder, before inaugurating the new course with the new creation that the Brescia-based factory designed. The winner of the Championship will then be reserved the number 1 on the car that will take to the track in the period 2024-2028.

Still a veil of mystery about the new gem of the Wolf Racing Cars house, which already arouses curiosity and much interest among drivers. Among the certainties about the new model are the presence of the Halo, at least 25 more horsepower than the current car, and improved aerodynamics to hit the manufacturer's performance target: 2'' per lap faster than the already very fast Thunder. Also of practical value is Wolf Racing Cars' initiative, which guarantees all entrants in the 2023 season the right, after the last race of the year, to see their car bought back from the manufacturer to switch to the new one.
