The Italian Sports Prototype Championship welcomes Hankook Tire as its new tire supplier. Starting from the 2023 season, which will start on the weekend of 21-23 April at Imola, the Wolf GB08 Thunder cars will be equipped with tyres from the Korean brand.

Increasingly active in international competitions with several prestigious partnerships between GT, touring cars, rallies and single-seaters, including the one with the FIA Formula E World Championship, Hankook Tire thus strengthens its link with ACI Sport, already being a supplier of the TCR Italy Touring Car Championship from 2022.

With Campionato Italiano Sport Prototipi, Hankook Tire will compete against a new type of racing car such as the sportscars produced by Wolf Racing Cars, with an excellent power-to-weight ratio thanks to the carbon fiber body, which makes it possible to contain the weight maximum at 390 kilograms, and by a 1000cc Aprilia engine derived from motorcycles, capable of delivering 200 horsepower.

Thanks to the relaunch that took place in 2018, with the transformation into a single-make brand, the CISP has established itself as a series of great attraction both for experienced drivers and for emerging youngsters, who are offered a very effective alternative route to establish themselves in the motoring.

In addition, Hankook has been a partner of Wolf Racing Cars since 2020 and supplier of original tire assembly on Thunder, Mistral, Tornado and Extreme models

The 2023 CISP calendar will see the Wolf GB08 Thunder, now fitted with Hankook Tire tyres, the protagonists of a total of six rounds, on the tracks of Imola, Pergusa, Monza (hosting two rounds), Mugello and Vallelunga.
