Danny Molinaro was the fastest driver during the second free practice session of the Campionato Italiano Sport Prototipi in Monza: his weekend is off to a great start after leading the FP1 session and topping again the timing sheets during the second free practice round with a timing of 1:54.446. The two brothers Linus and Emil Hellberg followed him during the whole session, proving to find themselves at ease at the temple of speed; both Bad Wolves drivers, however, are pretty far from the 2021 champion’s performance, as Linus closed the session with a gap of 988 thousandths from Molinaro.

It was a pretty hot session - 33°C of air temperature and 45°C on the asphalt - and actually ended early due to a red flag with one minute to go, with the Master championship leader Stefano Attianese closing in fourth. Alister Yoong was fifth, in front of Davide Uboldi by a few thousandths; the driver from Como is determined to bring home a bag full of points to recover from Pergusa. Jesse Menczer was seventh, ending FP2 in front of Davide Acosta and Surineni Chetan, with the Indian reaching the top 10 right at his debut in the championship. It is worth noting that Matteo Roccadelli, currently championship contender, wasn’t able to set any valid timing during the last free practice session of the weekend.

The CISP rollercoaster of emotion will be back this afternoon at 5:35 for the qualifying round, while the two races will go underway on Saturday and on Sunday: race-1 will go green at 2:15 PM on Saturday, June 24, while race-2’s lights will go off on Sunday at 11:00 AM. The races will be live streamed on ACI Sport TV, channel 228 on Sky, and on its social media platforms (Facebook and YouTube).
