Davide Uboldi (Uboldi Corse) claimed a race-2 victory at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza: the driver from Como, after a P2 finish during the first race, was able to bring home the win and jump back in the standings. Uboldi started from the sixth spot on the grid, and after making an incredible start, he reached the second position, putting behind Linus Hellberg (Bad Wolves) at the exit of the Prima Variante. At the end of the first lap, the Italian multi-champion was able to overtake the Swedish driver just a few seconds before the Safety car was called out on track. The race was neutralized after Matteo Roccadelli (BHK Motorsport) was touched at the Variante Ascari by Alister Yoong (Luxury Car Racing) while battling for the third position. While spinning, the young driver also collected the innocent Emil Hellberg (Bad Wolves).

As soon as the race restarted, Uboldi managed to increase the gap from his rivals, busy fighting for the second position. At the start of the fifth lap, Linus Hellberg miscalculated the Prima Variante braking zone and touched Yoong’s rear, causing the Malaysian’s retirement as his suspension was broken. Uboldi therefore took advantage of this situation and built a 2-second gap from Menczer, sitting second right after the fifth lap. During the final stages of the race, the British driver caught up to the leader Uboldi, but did not manage to overtake him before the checkered flag. Davide brought home the victory, followed by Menczer - only 198 tenths behind - and Linus Hellberg. Fourth was the new Master Trophy leader Giovanni Mazza (Emotion Motorsport), while Donald Milokanovic (Bad Wolves) closed the race fifth, increasing his gap in the Under 25 standings.

With the second Monza round in the bag, the Campionato Italiano Sport Prototipi will be back in action in two weeks at the Mugello Circuit, which will be the home of the fifth round on October 1st.
