Following the stewards’ decisions regarding the infringements made by some drivers during the second race of the Campionato Italiano Sport Prototipi, three drivers have been penalized. The final result remains identical, with Davide Uboldi (Uboldi Corse) winning for the first time of the season after a very close battle with Jesse Menczer (Bad Wolves). Third at the checkered flag was Linus Hellberg (Bad Wolves), and despite getting a 10-second penalty, as he rear-ended Alister Yoong’s car , he actually remains third.

Moreover, two drivers received a penalty that will need to be served during their upcoming race. The championship leader, Matteo Roccadelli (BHK Motorsport), will have an 8-position grid demotion as he failed to follow the race direction’s instructions. Alister Yoong will also receive a grid retrocession, this time of four positions, as he caused Roccadelli and Emil Hellberg’s retirement during the first lap.

With the second Monza round in the bag, the Campionato Italiano Sport Prototipi will be back in action in two weeks at the Mugello Circuit, which will be the home of the fifth round on October 1st.
