Davide Uboldi claimed race-1’s win at the Autodromo del Mugello: after the win in Monza, the Italian multi champion conquered the victory on the Tuscanian track in what turned out to be a race full of action. Uboldi started from the pole position but lost two positions at the beginning of the race: the driver from Como initially lost the lead to Emil Hellberg, and then he was also overtook by Matteo Roccadelli (BHK Motorsport), who actually started ninth.

The race was neutralized soon after as Jesse Menczer damaged his front left suspension in a contact with Linus Hellberg at the start. When the race was green again, Uboldi brought himself back on top with an overtake at the Luco on Roccadelli, and thanks to a technical issue that the leader Emil Hellberg had. His brother Linus settled for third, while right behind him Alister Yoong overtook Pietro Ferri (Emotion Motorsport), gaining the fourth position.

Uboldi and Roccadelli then animated the second half of the race with their battle for the first position. The BHK Motorsport driver was able to lead the race with 13 minutes to go, defending from Uboldi’s attempts to attack him. However, the Italian multi-champion was able to take the lead with 4 minutes to go at the San Donato. During the final laps both Hellberg brothers had to retire: Emil stopped at the first turn with five minutes to go, while two laps later it was Linus’ turn, who spun and left the third spot of the podium to Alister Yoong, causing the second Safety car of the race. The race ended behind the SC, which allowed Uboldi to snatch the second consecutive win of 2023.

Matteo Roccadelli had to settle for a second place, a pretty satisfying round as he started from the back of the grid ; Yoong completed the podium. Fourth was Pietro Ferri (Emotion Motorsport), who matches his best seasonal finish in Imola. Fifth was the Rookie championship leader Donald Milokanovic, while Giovanni Mazza (Emotion Motorsport) implemented his gap in the Master Trophy thanks to the sixth place finish on the Tuscanian track.
