Vallelunga will be the Campionato Italiano Sport Prototipi 2023 championship decider

The battle between Matteo Roccadelli (BHK Motorsport), Davide Uboldi and Emil Hellberg will come to its end at the wheel of the Wolf GB08-Thunder, while the Coppe ACI Sport Rookie, Master and Under 25 have already been assigned.

The Campionato Italiano Sport Prototipi will see its 2023 champions named this weekend. The crown laid by Giacomo Pollini will go to either Matteo Roccadelli (BHK Motorsport), Davide Uboldi or Emil Hellberg. The driver from Vercelli leads the standings with 125 points and takes under control the gap he managed to build during the season, but the protagonist of the last two rounds in Monza and Mugello was Davide Uboldi. The driver from Como stepped consistently on the podium and snatched two wins, bringing home 111 points during the season. Mathematically also Emil Hellberg is still in the game with 106 points.

Absent during the last two rounds, Danny Molinaro could not try to replicate his 2021 season, as Jesse Menczer, despite the double zero in Mugello, collected 69 points total. Who proved to be ready and steady was Alister Yoong, son of the former Formula 1 driver Alex, winner of the last race in Mugello. Seventh overall is Giovanni Mazza (Emotion Motorsport) who snatched the Coppa ACI Sport Master trophy, ahead of the young Pietro Ferri (Emotion Motorsport) tenth overall and second in the Coppa ACI Sport Under 25 thanks to the podium in Mugello.

Linus Hellberg closes the Top-10 and will try to support his brother on the hunt to the 2023 CISP title, while tenth is Donald Milokanovic. The Croatian is already mathematically the champion of the Coppa ACI Sport Master during the last round in Mugello. In Vallelunga Stefano Attianese, hometown hero, will be back together with Sonia Roussel, back on track after the crash in Monza, and David Acosta Molina (Emotion Motorsport) who had already collected a handful of points in Pergusa and Monza.

The schedule of this weekend will see a pretty intense Friday, October 13, with two free practice rounds of 25 minutes at 9:55 and at 13:45, while the Qualifying round, which will determine the last poleman of the year, will be at 17:00. Saturday, October 14, will see race-1 at 13:35. Race-2 will go underway on Sunday, October 15, at 10:00. The battle for the championship title will be live streamed on ACI Sport TV, channel 228 of Sky and 52 of Tivusat, and on the Facebook and Youtube channels with Antonio Caruccio’s commentary.
