Alister Yoong conquers the fastest lap in the first free practice session of the Campionato Italiano Sport Prototipi, at its last round of the season in Vallelunga. The Roman weekend will see a new champion crowned and saw the first few steps of the three contenders. 

Yoong completed the fastest lap of the session in 1:35.286 ahead of the championship leader Matteo Roccadelli (BHK Motorsport), with a 1.285 gap. After the first podium collected in Mugello two weeks ago, Pietro Ferri (Emotion Motorsport) conquered the third position ahead of Linus Hellberg. On the other hand, his brother Emil had to retire the car during the first half of the session. 

Jesse Menczer was fifth, ahead of Davide Uboldi who, together with Roccadelli and Emil Hellberg, is in the fight for the title, with the Swede seventh at the end of the session. Eight was the Coppa ACI Sport Master Champion, Giovanni Mazza (Emotion Motorsport) ahead of Arduino Giretti, at his debut during the last round and the last race for the Wolf GB08-Thunder. Tenth was Donald Milokanovic, title winner in the Coppa ACI Sport Rookie at Mugello.

The schedule of this weekend will see a pretty intense Friday, October 13, with the second free practice session underway at 13:45, while the Qualifying round, which will determine the last poleman of the year, will be at 17:00. Saturday, October 14, will see race-1 at 13:35. Race-2 will go underway on Sunday, October 15, at 10:00. The battle for the championship title will be live streamed on ACI Sport TV, channel 228 of Sky and 52 of Tivusat, and on the Facebook and Youtube channels with Antonio Caruccio’s commentary.
