Last act of the eighth season for the Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth certified by FIA in the Temple of Speed in Monza. The seventh round of the season, scheduled this weekend on the Monza track, will be decisive for the fight for the overall podium that still sees Tim Tramnitz (US Racing), Leonardo Fornaroli (Iron Lynx), Sebastian Montoya (Prema Powerteam) and Kirill Smal (Prema Powerteam) fighting for the second place, but above all to decree the rookie champion 2021. Nikita Bedrin (Van Amersfoort Racing), Conrad Laursen (Prema Powerteam) and Lorenzo Patrese (AKM Motorsport) will battle it out in the rookies standings.

In the last round of the season, which will see the Tatuus F.4-T014 on the track for the last time, 35 single-seaters will be on the starting grid with several new entries for next season. Numbers that confirm the goodness of a championship that has become an international landmark with 32 average cars on track in 2021.

On the test day, held on Thursday, the 2021 Italian Champion, Oliver Bearman was absent, engaged at Silverstone in the final selection of the "2021 Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award", the prestigious award of the British Federation which, in the past editions, has saw award winners Jenson Button, David Coulthard, Lando Norris and George Russell.

The best time in the collective tests were recorded by Lorenzo Patrese and Nikita Bedrin, two of the contenders for the rookie title who, in the second and fourth sessions, set the same time, stopping the lap time of 1’53.324. Third absolute time for Leonardo Fornaroli (Iron Lynx) at 0.058 seconds from the leading duo, while the virtual second row was completed by Joshua Durksen (Muecke Motorsport) just 0.008 seconds from Fornaroli. 25 drivers in one second suggest a very tight qualifying session.

Debut in the last round of the 2021 season for the Italian Sport Prototypes Rookie Champion Rocco Mazzola, with Cram Motorsport, same team for the Australian driver Marcos Flack. Debut also for Dutchman Robert De Haan (Van Amersfoort Racing).

Tomorrow at 9.10 am and 12.50 pm the two free practice sessions, while the last qualifying of the season will start at 5.00 pm. Race 1 will start on Saturday at 11.30 am, followed by race 2 at 5.20 pm. The final race of the 2021 season will take place on Sunday at 10.05 am.
