At Misano World Circuit, the second round of the Italian F.4 Championship certified by FIA, again in the Motor Valley, after Imola. In qualifying Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Prema Racing, Mercedes Junior Driver and track representative of ACI Team Italia is unstoppable: the driver from Bologna secured a triple pole position in this morning's double qualifying session. 1'35.052 the time set in the first session, secured him an advanced start in race 1, ahead of teammates Rafael Camara and James Wharton, both Ferrari Driver Academy drivers, with a gap of +0.266 and +0.463 respectively.

Next up was the Irishman leading the Championship, Alexander Dunne, US Racing driver, with +0.472, then Charlie Wurz, again from Prema Racing (+0.588). P6 for Marcus Amand, US Racing (+0.560), followed by Prema's Danish driver Conrad Laursen (+0.651). Eighth is Kacper Sztuka, US Racing (+0.729), followed by Maya Weug, Ferrari Driver Academy driver in the colors of Iron Dames, who continues to show a convincing and consistent performance on track in the second round of the Italian F.4 Championship (+0.738). Completing the top 10 is Nikita Bedrin, PHM Racing (+0.848), while Martinius Stenshorne,  Norwegian driver wearing the colors of the Italian team Prema Racing, is the last driver to maintain a gap of less than a second (+0.879).

In the second qualifying session it was Antonelli again who set the best lap with 1'34.786. He was followed by Camara (+0.441), Wurz (+0.523) and Wharton (+0.543). Fifth best lap in the second session for Dunne (+0.598), followed by Laursen (+0.696) and Amand. Still fast was Maya Weug who took the fourth row with the eighth time (+0.948), followed by Sztuka (+0.956) and Ivan Domingues, Iron Lynx (+0.957). Problems for Oleksander Partyshev in the session, he is forced to stop on the straight and, pulling onto the grass, suffering a back pain, probably as a result of passing over a kerb. The intervention of the medical car is required, and the driver is escorted out of the track to check his conditions, interrupting the session with a red flag for a few minutes.

Also in Qualifying 2 came the second best time, again for Andrea Kimi Antonelli with 1'34.909, sealing a weekend that was perfect in its premise, and which could offer the driver from Bologna an opportunity to follow up on the Imola round, which certainly had not satisfied him in terms of results. Overall a very good result for Prema Racing, in the clash with US Racing that will certainly get underway from race 1, starting this evening at 17.50.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli:

“is really good to start a weekend like this. The speed was amazing in qualifying, the car felt very good. We managed traffic really well, which was the only thing that I was afraid of a bit, because there were a lot of cars in the tracks and it was hard to find the right space. We did a mega job with the team and I’m really happy for it. After Imola, the weekend was not really good, this weekend I want to fight back and try to achieve some good results, also for the team.”
