Race 2 of the Italian F.4 Championship opens the second day of competition for the ACI Racing Weekend Misano. Another start in pole for Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Prema Racing, Junior Mercedes and representative of ACI Team Italia, who had won yesterday's race 1.

Still imperfect at the start, the Bolognese lost the lead of the race on his teammate, the Austrian son of art, Charlie Wurz. Stubborn, Antonelli regained position with a nice overtaking move in the early stages of the race.

The lead is therefore pretty clear with Antonelli, Wurz and James Wharton, followed by Rafael Camara. All Prema Racing and Rookie class drivers, with the last two also in the Ferrari Driver Academy, which also supports Dutch-Belgian-Spanish driver Maya Weug, from the Iron Dames team.

Antonelli begins his work, builds gaps and manages, his leadership is never questioned this time, with Camara who remains 4th and, unlike what we saw yesterday, doesn’t give him battle today. The leading group remains firm, while tussle starts inside the race: Ivan Domingues, Iron Lynx, is fighting with Nikita Bedrin, PHM Racing, and earns 8th position, then taken by Martinius Stenshorne who still gains good points for Van Amersfoort Racing. Kim Hwarang, South Korean making his first appearance in the Italian F.4 Championship, a series that brings 23 different nationalities among the 36 drivers fielded by 14 teams to round two, is forced to return to the pits after a collision with Ethan Ischer, Jenezer Motorsport, which causes a puncture in his tyre.

Maya Weug lost a few positions suffering attacks from Kacper Sztuka, US Racing, and then Brando Badoer, Van Amersfoort Racing.

The fight between the American Deukmedijian and the Brazilian Emerson Fittipaldi Jr. was also beautiful, with attacks on the carro turn for P15. It was precisely Fittipaldi who had won the first point yesterday with an excellent 10th position in the overall standings. In the infighting between the teammates of Van Amersfoort Racing, Nihkil Bohra, US Racing, also slipped in. Fittipaldi and Bohra overtake the American. Shortly afterwards Deukmedjian also passed the Sicilian Alfio Spina, who was then forced to resist the attacks.

There was also a fight at the back between Valentin Kluss and Victoria Blokhina, Jenzer Motorsport and PHM Racing respectively, who put on a show with a tussle in the rear.

Race 2 loses one of the great contenders of the Championship: Alex Dunne, seeing his fastest lap from yesterday cancelled for not having slowed down in qualifying when the yellow flag was deployed, starts from the back, but immediately finds it difficult to climb back up in the group and is unable to finish the race.

The finishing order is: 1. Antonelli; 2. Wurz; 3. Wharton; 4. Camara; 5. Amand; 6. Laursen; 7. Stenshorne; 8. Domingues; 9. Bedrin; 10. Sztuka.

The show returns to the track for the closing of the ACI Racing Weekend at Misano World Circuit with race 3 at 17.40, the last event on the track in this very rich weekend that has seen more than 200 cars competing.
