Another name joins the AKM Motorsport team, starting from the weekend of Spa-Francorchamps on 18/19 June. Making his debut in the Italian F4 Championship with the team led by Marco Antonelli, will be Valerio Rinicella.

The Roman driver, who turned 15 last January, will make his debut in the Italian series certified by FIA, in which he is a special observer of Scuola Federale ACI Sport, by which he has been carefully followed since his first steps in motorsport. In fact, Rinicella came to the fore in the Karting Stage organised by the Federation itself and successfully took part in the ACI Sport Supercorso Federale which took place last November.

On the Belgian circuit, Rinicella will be driving the single-seater brought to the track in the first two events of the season by Pedro Clerot, whose 2022 programme was limited to only a few appearances (the Brazilian will however, make his comeback in a third AKM Motorsport car by the end of the season), thus joining the the Uzbek Ismail Akhmedkhodjaev.

Rinicella enters the world of single-seaters this year after building a solid career in karts. His debut in the ROK Cup dates back to 2015, immediately winning the Baby Academy title. From there, the debut in the Italian championship and then in WSK. In 2019, victory in the Dubai O-Plate in the Cadet category. More recently, he took part in the CIK FIA championship in 2020, finishing fourth in his category and obtaining a pole at Zuera. In the same year he is selected for the Stage Valutativo Kart of the Scuola Federale ACI Sport held at the Viterbo International Circuit. In 2021 he participates in the Camp organised annually by ACI in collaboration with the Ferrari Driver Academy.

The Lazio driver will also take part in the next rounds of the calendar after the Belgian leg. The one at Spa-Francorchamps is the third of the seven rounds of the Championship reserved for the new Tatuus single-seaters, which will subsequently move to Vallelunga, Red Bull Ring, Monza and Mugello.
