Kacper Sztuka is the fastest on the French track in the first session of the day

The Polish driver of US Racing sets the fastest time in the free practice session that kicks off the fifth round of the Italian F.4 Championship

Kacper Sztuka, the Polish driver of Team US Racing, is the fastest on the track in the free practice session that kicks off the fifth round of the Italian F.4 Championship at Paul Ricard Circuit. Sztuka sets the pace in the first on-track session with a lap time of 2’05.934. James Wharton, the Australian driver of Prema Racing with the Ferrari Driver Academy insignia, follows closely in second place, trailing by only 0.088 seconds. American Ugo Ugochukwu, the junior McLaren driver of Prema Racing, takes the third spot in the first session, with a gap of 0.169 seconds. Following him is his teammate from London, Arvid Lindblad, the junior Red Bull driver, at 0.481 seconds behind. Fifth place goes to Zachary David, the Maltese-Filipino driver of US Racing, with a gap of 0.581 seconds. In sixth position is Alfio Spina, the Sicilian driver of BVM Racing, recording a gap of 0.674 seconds. Meanwhile, the Finnish driver Tuukka Taponen, the Ferrari Driver Academy pilot of Prema Racing, takes seventh place, trailing by 0.685 seconds. Akshay Bohra secures the eighth position in the Tatuus of US Racing, with a gap of 0.703 seconds. Ninth place goes to Nicola Lacorte from Tuscany, driving for Prema Racing, with a gap of 0.831 seconds. Completing the top 10 is French driver Pablo Sarrazin, making his debut in the Italian F.4 Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing. Sarrazin recorded a gap of 0.880 seconds. In the eleventh position, Brando Badoer of Van Amersfoort Racing is the last driver within 1 second of Sztuka, with a gap of 0.920 seconds.

There will be another free practice session later today, also lasting for 40 minutes, starting at 13.54. Tomorrow, Saturday, July 22, the day will begin with the qualifying sessions, with the first session taking place from 10.19 to 10.34, followed by the second session from 10.44 to 10.59. Race 1 will kick off on Saturday evening at 16.50 for 30' + 1 lap. On Sunday, July 23, Race 2 will begin at 10.10 (30' + 1 lap), followed by Race 3 at 17.30 (30' + 1 lap).
