In the final weeks of 2023, with eyes already set on the coming year, it's time to take a last look at the concluded season of the Italian F.4 Championship. 2023 marked a significant milestone for the series promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion, in its tenth season. In a year filled with emotions and twists, the Polish driver Kacper Sztuka wrote his name into the Championship's hall of fame with a spectacular comeback in the final rounds. Sztuka thus joined a list of prestigious predecessors, including Lance Stroll, the winner of the inaugural season, Ralf Aron, Marcos Siebert, Marcusa Armstrong, Enzo Fittipaldi, Dennis Hauger, Gabriele Minì, Oliver Bearman, and Andrea Kimi Antonelli.

From its inception, the Italian F.4 Championship immediately asserted itself in the international arena of equivalent series, and ten years after its establishment, in 2023, it further showcased its central role on the global stage. What characterized the past season was indeed its extensive international scope. Throughout the seven rounds, the series hosted 50 drivers from 25 different nations representing 4 continents, fielded by 11 teams. This extraordinary mix of talents captured the attention of major Formula 1 teams, who identified this championship as the perfect occasion to nurture their young talents. Ferrari, Red Bull, McLaren, Mercedes and Alpine's academies chose the Italian series as a fertile ground for the growth of their youth development programs. Quantity and quality were the keystones of the season, with an average of 34 cars on the track and a consistently high-level field, ensuring a spectacle for all enthusiasts.

A fundamental step for growth, the Italian Formula 4 once again welcomed young and very young talents engaged in the climb towards the summits of motorsport. The championship saw a larger number of sixteen-year-old drivers from the 2007 class, with several debuts of newly-turned 15-year-olds, the minimum age to participate in the championship.

In summary, 2023 was a year of triumphs and excellence for the Italian F.4 Championship, confirming its prominent position in the international landscape of motorsports, while efforts continue for an even more exhilarating 2024.
