Imola welcomes back single-seaters with 39 Formula 4 cars ready for the second ACI Racing Weekend

The Italian F.4 returns to the track this weekend at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola for the second round of the season

After opening the season in Misano, the Italian F.4 Championship moves to Imola for another exciting event on June 1 and 2. On the famous circuit, recently the scene of intense Formula 1 battles, 39 Tatuus Formula 4 cars will compete. Eleven Teams are present, with drivers from 24 different nations.

The lineups are confirmed from the first round with few new entries, with AS Motorsport fielding rookie Spanish driver Edward Robinson. AKM Motorsport relies on the duo of Italian Emanuele Olivieri and Ukrainian Oleksandr Savinkov, both in their first season in the category. In addition, for AKM, a third car with the Pole driver Wiktor Dobrzanski. BVM Motorsport presents rookie Czech driver Jan Koller, while Swiss Team Jenzer Motorsport adds a fifth car to its lineup, with Slovakian driver Matúš Ryba joining Ethan Ischer, Enea Frey, Reno Francot, and Shimo Zhang. Ryba, born in 2009, makes his debut in the competitive series promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion after a promising karting career and a participation in the Spanish F4 series in Jarama. Cram Motorsport enters the second round with Portuguese rookie Francisco Macedo.

Maffi Racing confirms its duo of Swiss driver Nathanael Berreby and Venezuelan Gabriel Holguin. PHM AIX Racing fields a five-car formation composed of Italian Davide Larini, American Everett Stack, Serbian Andrej Petrovic, Australian Kamal Mrad, and Maksimilian Popov. Prema Racing presents six cars, including that of Championship leader Freddie Slater, winner of all three races in Misano, alongside Alex Powell, currently second in the standings, and Indian driver Dion Gowda, Japanese Kean Nakamura-Berta, Latvian Tomass Stolcermanis, and Emirati driver Rashid Al Dhaheri.

The French Team R-ace GP fields rookies Luka Sammalisto and Enzo Yeh, while Real Racing, the first Romanian team in the Championship, confirms Andrei Duna and Luca Viisoreanu. US Racing brings back its lineup of six cars with Akshay Bohra, Gianmarco Pradel, Jack Beeton, Kabir Anurag, Matheus Ferreira, and Maxim Rehm. Finally, Van Amersfoort Racing presents five drivers: Hiyu Yamakoshi, a revelation in the first round, Alvise Rodella, Andrija Kostic, Gustav Jonsson, and Hodenius Lin.

An exceptionally high-quality pool of drivers who promises another thrilling weekend like the first round. The Santerno circuit prepares to host the young talents of open-wheel racing, offering fans an unparalleled spectacle.

 

The weekend's schedule begins with the first on-track sessions on Thursday, May 30, with collective tests divided into three 50-minute sessions from 9:00 to 18:30. On Friday, May 31, free practice sessions will take place from 9:40 to 10:20 and again from 14:30 to 15:10. Qualifying will be on Saturday, June 1, from 10:40 to 10:55 and from 11:05 to 11:20, followed by Race 1 at 17:30 (30 minutes + 1 lap). Sunday, June 2, will feature Race 2 at 9:00 (30 minutes + 1 lap) and Race 3 at 15:30 (30 minutes + 1 lap).

All weekend races will be broadcast with Italian commentary on ACI Sport TV, channel 228 on Sky and 52 on Tivù Sat, on the website www.acisport.it, and on the ACI Sport TV Facebook page. English-language streaming will be available on the official social media pages of the Italian F.4 Championship on Facebook and YouTube, as well as on numerous international television networks of the Italian Formula 4 Championship.
