The Italian F.4 Championship, after the events at Misano and Imola, returns to the track this weekend for the third round of the season at Vallelunga. There will be 37 cars competing for victory in the 3 races of the ACI Racing Weekend, with drivers from over 20 different nations lined up by 11 Teams.

Another debut in the 2024 Championship promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion is the Brazilian driver Filippo Fiorentino, ready to hit the track as the sole representative of CRAM Motorsport. Fiorentino, in his Rookie season, has already positively stood out this year in the Brazilian F4 series, where he secured a race win at the Interlagos circuit. The Italian event will provide an excellent opportunity for him to develop his skills against a very high-level field of competitors.

The Championship standings before the 3rd round of the season are led by Freddie Slater, with 4 wins obtained in the previous 2 events (all the races at Misano and Race-3 at Imola). The British driver from PREMA Racing leads the standings with 90 points; second, only 8 points behind, is Japanese driver Hiyu Yamakoshi, representing Van Amersfoort Racing. Yamakoshi consistently scored points in the 3 races at Misano, culminating in a triple pole position at Imola, where he won 2 of the 3 races of the round. In Race-3 at Imola, he was stopped by a front wing breakage after jumping on a kerb in the final minutes, forcing him to return to the pits. In third place is American-Indian driver Akshay Bohra, completing rounding out the top 3 in the drviers standings for Team US Racing with 73 points. The Rookie standings saw a change of leader after the second round of the season, with Prema Racing's Latvian driver Tomass Stolcermanis overtaking teammate Alex Powell. Stolcermanis now leads with 100 points, while Mercedes junior driver Powell is second by just 7 points. The third position is shared by Serbian driver Andrej Petrovic from PHM AIX Racing and Alpine Academy driver Kean Nakamura Berta from Prema Racing, both with 66 points.

The weekend will feature 3 races, with a "full" grid of 37 cars, representing the track's maximum capacity, in an ACI Racing Weekend not to be missed, which will also mark the start of the Italian GT Endurance Championship and the second round of the Italian Sport Prototypes Championship, the event will be enriched also by Trophy events.

The weekend program begins early for the young talents of the Italian F.4 Championship, with an extended collective test session allowing drivers to familiarize themselves with the track on Thursday, June 13th. A single 4-hour session will provide the first contact with the Rome circuit starting at 14:00, leading up to the weekend's main events. Friday, June 14th, will feature 2 free practice sessions of 40 minutes each, starting at 10:15 and 15:35. The official qualifying sessions will be held on Saturday, June 15th, with the first session from 9:35 to 9:50, followed by the second from 10:00 to 10:15. Race-1, lasting 30 minutes + 1 lap, will take place at 15:45. Sunday, June 16th, will host the remaining 2 races of the weekend, with Race-2 (30 minutes + 1 lap) starting at 9:00 and Race-3 (30 minutes + 1 lap) starting at 14:25.

The 3 races of the weekend will be broadcast live with English commentary on the Italian F.4 Championship's YouTube and Facebook pages, as well as on the international network broadcasting the Championship promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion. The races can also be followed live with Italian commentary on ACI Sport TV (Sky channel 228 and Tivù Sat channel 52), on www.acisport.it, and on the Facebook page @acisporttv, as well as on the DAZN platform.
