The Formula Regional European Championship certified by FIA welcomes another driver, this time an Australian, Mawson Joey, born in Sydney, completing the line-up of Van Amersfoort Racing AV drivers for the next round, on the Roman racing circuit of Vallelunga, which will take place from the 3rd to the 5th of May.
The Australian will be the team-mate of the German Sophia Flörsch who, in the first round of the series, in Paul Ricard, has began regaining confidence with the track and has obtained a promising 5th position in race 3.

Kart debutante in 2003, Mawson, has achieved great results in Formula 4 where, in 2016, already racing with Van Amersfoort Racing AV, he won the German title against none other than Mick Schumacher. Mawson has then competed in FIA European Formula 3 Championship in 2017 and in the GP3 Championship in 2018.
Also, the French Alexandre Bardinon, absent at Paul Ricard due to a hand injury, will be present at the start in Vallelunga, racing with Mas Du Clos Racing.
