The very good time scored by Monti in 1´52.976 was set in the final minutes after a pole swap involving Mastrornardi, Piccini and Passuti. The latter, confirming a memorable day for the Bolognese team, managed to secure the second position in the final stages ending with a time of 1´53.155.
In race-2, scheduled for tomorrow afternoon from 16.40 (local time, GMT+2), the colors bearers of the team led by Marco Antonelli will occupy the whole front row and will line up in front of the Porsche 997 (GDL Racing) of Rino Mastronardi (1´53.251) and the Lamborghini Gallardo (Mik Corse) of Giacomo Piccini (1´53.590), with the latter setting the fastest speed of 262 km/h at the speed trap on the main straight.
Fifth position (1´53.966) for Giorgio Sanna (Lamborghini Gallardo-Team Imperiale), who was followed by the Russian Andrii Basov (Porsche 997-GDL Racing-1´54.271) and Marco Mapelli (Ferrari F 430-Vittoria Competizioni-1´54.786), while the fastest lap among the three drivers of the Maserati Trophy was set by Andrea Bertolini in 1´56.335.
