15/06/2011 – Twenty-six crew will be on track this weekend for the third round of the Italian GT Championship featuring four races: two reserved to GT2, GT3 and GT4 classes and as many for the GT Cup.

In the highest class, the Ferrari-Porsche duel is going to be renewed with Geri-Rossetto (Ferrari F 430-Vittoria Competizioni), winners of the two races in Misano, chasing Coggiola brothers (Porsche RSR-Victor Porsche), classification leaders but particularly unlucky on Adriatico's shores and therefore motivated to counter-charge.

In the GT3, the Audi R8 LMS of the frontrunners Bonanomi-Sonvico (Audi Sport Italia) will have to face the attacks moved by Mario Cordoni (Porsche GT3R-Autorlando) in crew with Paolo Ruberti, winners of both Misano's GT3 class races. Dindo Capello will be back on the second car lined up by the House of Ingolstadt after the absence due to the conflicting 24 hours of Le Mansand and will share the drive with Alessandro Cicognani.

In the GT Cup, the current classification leaders Malucelli-Pierleoni (Ferrari F 430-Scuderia 27-Baldini Mode) will have to fight against the Lamborghini Gallardos driven by Sanna-Stancheris (Team Imperiale) and Piccini-Livio (Mik Corse) that follow in the classification but they will also have to pay attention to the Porsche 997s of Passuti-Gagliardini (Antonelli Motorsport), Tavano-Iacone (Petri Corse Motorsport) and Fornaroli-Mastronardi (GDL Racing) that appeared particularly fit after the exciting performance in Misano.

The team lead by Gianluca De Lorenzi will line up a second German coupe given to the crew Giacomelli-Polichetti, while AGR Motorsport will continue their season with the crew Castellano-De Pasquale.

Six Ginetta G50 will be racing in class GT4, one of which being driven by the newly entered crew Secci-Guazzini (GDL Racing), and will be challenging the only Porsche Cayman entered in the championship and driven by Donativi-Brambati (Starcars). Cappelletti-Pozzi (Nova Race) are currently leading the provisional classification but their advantage on the team mates Frazza-Maranelli is now reduced to eleven points only.

Magione's programme schedules the two qualifying sessions on Saturday at 12.20 and 16.50 (local time, GMT+2) while the four races will be held on Sunday. GT2, GT4 and GT4's race one will see green lights at 9 while GT Cup's will start at 10.10. The racing afternoon will begin at 15.20 with race two for classes GT2, GT3 and GT4 and will end with GT Cup's race two starting at 16.30.
