Ceccato Racing, the Swede Nilsson joins Neri and Fascicolo in GT4 Endurance

The drivers' lineup behind the wheel of the BMW M4 GT4 of the Italian team in the four 3h races has been defined. The season opener will be in Sicily from May 21st-23rd.

The 19 years old from Sweden Alfred Nilsson joined the drivers' lineup behind the wheel of the BMW M4 GT4 of Ceccato Racing in the GT4 Endurance championship. Class 2001, Nilsson is one of the talents chosen by the Swedish Car Sports Federation and the National Sports Association in 2015 to be part of the junior national team to start competing in motorsport, which is a key experience to complete his experience in motorsport. In 2019 he made his debut on closed wheel racing and came to the fore in some rounds of the European GT4 Championship on a BMW M4.

After he positively completed a test in Misano Adriatico last week in the BMW M4 GT4, Roberto Ravaglia and Luigi Slongo did not have any doubts about the potential of the young Swede. Together with Marius Zug and Simone Riccitelli, who still did not officialize the 2021 program, Nilsson is the third driver of the Team that is not yet 20 years old, which confirms the philosophy of the Team to employ young talents.

“I am really grateful to Roberto and the whole Ceccato Racing team – Nilsson declared - for the chance they gave me to contest the Italian Endurance 2021 Championship in their BMW M4. My highest goal for this season was to drive an international-level touring car and I can now happily say that I reached the target”.

Roberto Ravaglia, Team Manager, Ceccato Racing “We are proud of having a very young and resolute driver like Alfred in the team. We were impressed by his professionalism and driving technique during the pre-season testing that took place last week in Misano Adriatico. He is a great candidate to match season 2020 in class GT4. Together with Neri and Fascicolo he will be part of a highly motivated lineup and will have the chance to drive a car that can aim high.”
