The circuit of Mugello is gearing up to host the 2nd round of the Italian GT Endurance Championship this coming weekend. The circuit on the outskirts of Florence is ready to welcome the 24 entered crews that will be behind the wheel of the GT3, GT Cup and GT4 cars that will adopt a Balance of Performance following the decision n.5 of the Permanent Bureau of Aci Sport.

GT3: Among the favourites for the victory in the highest class, the three lineups of VSR Racing will be behind the wheel of as many Lamborghini Huracan GT3, which have already been shining in Pergusa. The victory scored in Sicily allowed Basz-Hites-Michelotto to lead the classification from teammates Beretta-Liberati-Nemoto, while Cola-Moulin, that led GT3 PRO-AM in Sicily, are fifth behind Moncini-Guidetti-Cabezas (Honda NSX GT3-Nova Race) and Pijl-Guzman (Lamborghini Huracan GT3-Imperiale Racing) that will be joined by Mateo Llarena, who is returning to the Endurance series in Mugello.

The Lamborghini cars will be completed by the second Huracan of Imperiale Racing that will be driven by a PRO-AM lineup that will debut in the Italian GT: Balthasar-Ponzio-Roe, while Nova Race will field a second Honda NSX for GT3 AM leaders, Di Fabio-Magnoni, that will be joined by Alberto Lippi in Mugello.

Ready to bounce back from the unlucky performance in Pergusa, Scholze-Galbiati (Mercedes AMG GT3-Antonelli Motorsport) will aim to the top step of the podium, while teammates Emidio Pesce and Jop Rappange, that are third in GT3 PRO-AM, will be joined by Francesca Linossi on the second car of the team. The entry list of GT3 will be completed by Comandini-Fascicolo-Nilsson, that are second in GT3 PRO-AM and are behind the wheel of the BMW M4 GT3 of BMW Italia-Ceccato Racing Team.

GT CUP/GT4: The Ferrari 488 Challenge of Coluccio-Mazzola is the car to be beaten in GT Cup. The Easy Race crew, that led the pack in Pergusa, will be completed by one of the most experienced international drivers: Vito Postiglione, and will have to face the challenge of the sister car of Best Lap driven by Donno-Risitano-Menichini, that were second in Sicily, and the Lamborghini Huracan ST (Bonaldi Motorsport) of Pavlovic-Fischbaum, that are currently third in the standings.

The Ferrari lot will be completed by the 488 Challenge of Cressoni-Pulcini (AF Corse) and the two cars of SR&R driven by Buttarelli-Cossu-Bacci, that are the first of GT Cup AM, and the new lineup Bontempelli-Demarchi-La Mazza, that are at the debut in the Endurance series but have good chances to shine. The 458 Challenge will be driven by “Aramis”-Baratto-Pennisi.

Three Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Gen II will be present too. Krypton Motorsport will field one car for Locanto-Rodio-Pezzucchi, which are second in GT Cup AM, Gattuso-Mainetti-Riva and Cazzaniga-Di Benedetto-Nicolosi will try to bounce back from the bad luck of Pergusa.

The Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo lot will be completed by the Team Italy’s cars driven by Becagli-Castillo Ruiz-Pegoraro, Team Lazarus by Bozzoni-Del Monte-Santonocita and FFF Racing Team by Luciano and Donovan Privitelio.

A GT4 car will also be present in Mugello: the Mercedes AMG of Nova Race, which will be driven by the Youtuber Alberto Naska with Fulvio Ferri and Giacomo Parisotto.
