Vincenzo Sospiri Racing locked out the front row of the grid of the second round of the Italian GT Championship that will take place tomorrow afternoon at the Mugello Circuit. After the three qualifying sessions held this morning, Basz-Hites-Michelotto (Lamborghini Huracan GT3) that also won the opening race in Pergusa, posted a combined time of 5’22.213s and will start from the pole position with teammates Beretta-Liberati-Nemoto starting next to them thanks to the time of 5’22.556s.
Behind the two VSR cars, the Mercedes AMG GT3 (Antonelli Motorsport) of Scholze-Galbiati (5’24.270s) qualified as third and the Honda NSX GT3 (Nova Race) of Moncini-Guidetti-Cabezas (5’24.955s) as fourth. The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 (Imperiale Racing) of Balthasar-Ponzio-Roe (5’25.216s) and the second AMG GT3 of Antonelli Motorsport driven by Pesce-Rappange (5’26.117s), will start from the third row as they proceeded the third Huracan GT3 of VSR driven by Cola-Moulin (5’26.268s) and the second Huracan GT3 of Imperiale Racing driven by Llarena-Pijl-Guzman (5’26.660s). The fifth row will be occupied by the second Honda NSX of Nova Race driven by Magnoni-Di Fabio-Lippi (5’28.184s) and the first car of GT Cup, the Ferrari 488 Challenge (AF Corse) of Cressoni-Pulcini (5’38.406s). In GT Cup, the second place (5’39.345s) was posted by Donno-Risitano-Menichini (Ferrari 488 Challenge-Best Lap), that led the Porsche 991 GT3 Cuo Gen II (Krypton Motorsport) of Gattuso-Mainetti-Riva (5’39.673s) and the two 488 Challenge (SR&R) of Bontempelli-La Mazza Demarchi (5’42.164s) and Buttarelli-Cossu-Bacci.
A GT4 car will also be present: the Mercedes AMG GT4 of Nova Race driven by Ferri-Parisotto-Naska (6’00.603s), that will get away from the tenth row of the grid.
