BMW Italia Ceccato Racing Team confirms Spengler-Klingmann at the wheel of the BMW M4 GT3 for the 2023 Sprint series.

In the next edition of the Italian Gran Turismo Championship, a second vehicle will be entrusted to Carlo Tamburini and Francesco Massimo De Luca in the Sprint series, while Marco Cassarà, Stefano Comandini, Alfred Nilsson, Carlo Tamburini, and Salvatore Tavano will be at the start in the Endurance series.

After the positive experience of the 2022 championship, which saw Glock-Klingmann become the Italian vice-champion of the Sprint series and Comandini-Fascicolo-Nilsson in third place in the GT 3 PRO-AM Endurance, the BMW Italy-backed team has decided to contest the 2023 championship with a second vehicle.

For the 2023 season, the management of the team remains the same with Gianfranco Ceccato as Team Owner, Luigi Slongo as Team Principal, and Roberto Ravaglia as Team Manager who will manage a doubled lineup of drivers to face the double commitment.

The BMW Italia Ceccato Racing Team, in fact, from the first race of the 2023 season scheduled for next May 7 at the Misano World Circuit, will add a second BMW M4 GT3 in both the Sprint and Endurance series, which will also participate in both series.

The drivers of the Italian GT Sprint Championship 2023 season will be Jens Klingmann (GER) with Bruno Spengler (CAN) and Carlo Tamburini (ITA) with Francesco Massimo De Luca (ITA), class 1996 (Racing highlights: Italian GT Championship - Sprint - GT3 Pro-Am 3rd 2021)

For the Italian GT Endurance Championship, the two challengers of the BMW Italia Ceccato Racing Team will be entrusted to two crews consisting of:

Marco Cassarà (ITA), class 1978 (Racing highlights: Porsche Michelin Cup – winner 2022),

Stefano Comandini (ITA), class 1967 (Racing highlights: Italian Super GT3 Champion 2017)

Alfred Nilsson (SWE), class 2001 (Racing highlights: Italian GT Championship – Endurance – GT3 Pro-Am 3rd 2022),

Carlo Tamburini (ITA), class 2005 (Racing highlights: TCR Italy Touring Car Championship – 5th 2022),

and Salvatore Tavano (ITA), class 1980 (Racing highlights: TCR Italy Touring Car Championship – winner 2018, 2019 and 2020).

The sixth driver that will complete the lineup will be announced later.
