In Emilia Romagna, the cultural footprint and passion for design are also revealed through a network of small museums, which may be not well known. Scattered all over the varied regional territory, some of them are really interesting and surprising. An example is a museum devoted to weighing scales, which is located in Campogalliano, in the province of Modena. . Established forty years ago, the museum houses a number of Italian scales dating from the end of the XIX century to the first half of the XX century. The collection of these valuable and symbolic instruments shows the craftsmanship and work culture of this territory, two main elements that help us understand its true essence. Similarly, we find collections dedicated to the ceramics, a typical production of this area. The Museum of Ceramics housed in the Spezzano Castle, at Fiorano Modenese, exhibits local handcrafts, industrial products, and the technical innovations, especially from the end of the XVIII century. At Imola, the Museum and Historical-Artistic Documentation Centre “G. Bucci” shows the heritage of the local entrepreneurial activities since 1874, involving some important personalities of the Italian culture, such as Gio Ponti, Arnaldo Pomodoro and Paolo Portoghesi.
